Hey WARMACHINE2013 youre the best man. But Im gonna need you to speed it up with this Ole Miss game!😂 Greatly Appreciated. Razorback Razorback poster Directed by Russell Mulcahy Produced by Hal McElroy Written by Everett De Roche Based on Razorback by Peter Brennan Starring Gregory Harrison Music by Iva Davies Cinematography Dean Semler Edited by William M. Anderson Distributed by Greater Union Film Distributors (Australia) Warner Bros. (North America) Release date 2 November 1984 Running time 95 minutes Country Australia Language English Budget A5. 5 million [1] Box office A801, 000 (Australia) Razorback is a 1984 Australian natural horror film written by Everett De Roche, based on Peter Brennan 's novel, and directed by Russell Mulcahy. The film revolves around the attacks of a gigantic wild boar terrorising the Australian outback, killing and devouring people. Plot [ edit] Jake Cullen ( Bill Kerr) is babysitting his grandson at his house in the Australian outback when a massive razorback boar attacks him, smashing through his house and carrying off his grandson to devour alive. Jake is accused of murdering the child and while his account of the events are met with considerable scepticism, he is ultimately acquitted due to lack of evidence for accountability. The event destroys his credibility and reputation however, and he vows revenge on the boar. Two years later, American wildlife reporter Beth Winters ( Judy Morris) journeys to the outback to document the hunting of Australian wildlife to be processed into pet food at a run-down factory. Beth gets video footage of two thugs, Benny Baker ( Chris Haywood) and his brother Dicko ( David Argue) illegally making pet food out of animals and is subsequently chased down by them by car. They catch up, force her off the road and attempt to rape her only to be chased off by the same boar that killed Jake's grandson. Beth attempts to take shelter in her car but the hog rips off the door, drags her out and eats her. With no witnesses, her disappearance is subsequently ruled an accident resulting from having fallen down an abandoned mine shaft after leaving her wrecked car. Some time later, Beth's husband Carl ( Gregory Harrison) travels to Australia in search of her and encounters Jake, whom Beth interviewed during her initial report. Jake refers him to the local cannery where he meets Benny and Dicko. He pretends to be a Canadian visitor and convinces them to take him along on their next kangaroo hunt, only to be abandoned by them when he spoils a potential kill. Carl is then attacked by a herd of wild pigs, spurred on by the giant boar, who chase him through the night and force him take shelter atop a windmill. The next morning the pigs knock over the windmill but Carl is saved by landing in a pond at the windmill's base, in which the pigs fear to swim. Once the pigs leave Carl attempts to make his way back to civilisation, all the while suffering from dehydration-induced hallucinations, before finally reaching the house of Sarah Cameron ( Arkie Whiteley) a friend of Jake who has been studying the local pig population and the only one who believes his story of the giant razorback. While recovering at Sarah's house, Carl learns from Sarah that something has been causing the wild pigs excess stress, leading them into unusual behaviour such as increased aggression and cannibalising their own young. Meanwhile, after learning that Carl had seen the razorback, Jake sets out for the pumping station and manages to shoot it with one of Sarah's tracking darts. He also finds Beth's wedding ring in the boar's faeces which he returns to a grieving Carl. After overhearing a radio conversation suggesting that Jake knows what really happened to Beth Winters, Benny and Dicko, fearful that Jake is attempting to implicate them in her death, attack him at his camp, breaking his legs with bolt-cutters and leaving him to be killed by the razorback. His remains are later found by Sarah and Carl, along with marks in the dirt made by Dicko's cleaver. Realising that the brothers were responsible for both his wife and Jake's death, Carl attacks Benny at his and Dicko's lair, interrogating Benny by dangling him over a mine shaft before dropping him into it. As Sarah rounds up a posse to hunt down the razorback using the tracker Jake shot into it, Carl corners Dicko at the cannery when the razorback suddenly appears and mauls Dicko before Carl can shoot him. The razorback then chases Carl into the factory when Sarah suddenly arrives and is seemingly killed by the boar, who continues to pursue Carl even after impaling its throat on a broken pipe. In its maddened rampage, the razorback ends up damaging the cannery's generator which sends the machines running out of control as Carl lures the boar up onto a conveyor belt that throws it onto a giant fan, chopping it to pieces. After shutting down the machinery, Carl finds and rescues Sarah, who had merely been knocked unconscious, and the two embrace. Cast [ edit] Gregory Harrison as Carl Winters Arkie Whiteley as Sarah Cameron Bill Kerr as Jake Cullen Chris Haywood as Benny Baker David Argue as Dicko Baker Judy Morris as Beth Winters John Howard as Danny John Ewart as Turner Don Smith as Wallace Mervyn Drake as Andy Redmond Phillips as the Magistrate Alan Becher as Counsel (credited as Alan Beecher) Peter Schwarz as Lawyer (as Peter Schwartz) Beth Child as Louise Cullen Rick Kennedy as Farmer Production [ edit] This section needs expansion. You can help by adding to it. April 2019) Razorback was directed by Russell Mulcahy and mostly shot in Broken Hill, New South Wales. [1] 2] Director of photography Dean Semler was hired on the strength of his work in Mad Max 2. Some commentators have written that the film may have been inspired by the 1980 death of Azaria Chamberlain, whose mother was accused of murder after a dingo snatched the infant. [3] The razorback boar was an animatronic. Effects man Bob McCarron designed a total of six boars for the film, one of them designed to ram vehicles. [4] The shoot used one of the first batches of a new fast film stock developed by Kodak, which resulted in quite high-resolution shots. Mulcahy originally considered Jeff Bridges for the role of Carl, but producer Hal McElroy considered he had too little international appeal. [5] Release [ edit] Razorback was released in Australia on April 19, 1984, and grossed 801, 000 at the box office. [6] The film was given a limited release theatrically in the United States by Warner Bros. in November. 1984. It grossed 150, 140 at the box office in the United States. [7] Following various VHS video releases, the film was issued on DVD in Australia by Umbrella Entertainment on September 21, 2005. It was presented in 2. 40:1 widescreen with a 5. 1 Dolby Digital soundtrack and the original 2. 0 Dolby Stereo soundtrack. Special features included the 70-minute featurette "Jaws on Trotters" an audio interview with actor Gregory Harrison; four brief pre-release deleted scenes with extra gore, sourced from VHS tape; a photo gallery; and an original theatrical trailer. Razorback was subsequently released on DVD in various other countries, including the US, UK, France and Germany, though they only contain varying quantities of the Australian disc's extras. [8] The US release was by Warner Home Video, as part of the Warner Archive Collection, and only contains 2. 0 stereo audio and the theatrical trailer. [9] In 2014, Umbrella Entertainment released the film on Blu-ray with all of the prior DVDs extras and an additional 84 minutes of cast and crew interviews. The disc featured a remastered HD transfer. citation needed] In August, 2018, Umbrella Entertainment released a newly remastered edition Blu-Ray featuring a 4k transfer of the theatrical cut and a VHS-sourced version of the uncut film. In addition to porting over all previous supplements, newly produced extras include an audio commentary by director Russell Mulcahy and the retrospective "A Certain Piggish Nature: Looking Back at Razorback. citation needed] Reception [ edit] Razorback received mixed reviews from critics, with several critics compared the film to Steven Spielberg 's Jaws. [10] Empire Magazine awarded the film two out of five stars, writing, The oddball nightmare style is effective but the prop pig and under par acting let the film down. 11] TV Guide also gave the film two out of five stars, commending the film's cinematography, but stated that the film was "too repetitive (and sometimes simply too silly) to be truly engaging. 12] Variety Magazine gave the film a positive review, writing, The plot may be a bit familiar, but Razorback is no quickie: its an extremely handsome production, beautifully shot by Dean Semler. 13] Accolades [ edit] Award Category Subject Result AACTA Award (1984 Australian Film Institute Awards) Best Adapted Screenplay Everett De Roche Nominated Best Cinematography Dean Semler Won Best Editing William M. I am thinking this could be similar to 2002 all over. OSU has a good defense and solid to good offense. Good RB, good QB, good receivers and great defense. Us vs the world mentality and everybody doubting them against Clemson and LSU. So damn proud of this team. Thats a shrine to basketball gym and a 10-1 team they just beat. A certain piggish nature 3a looking back at razorback cover. That last kick was hilarious. Who is Joe. Indiana has a great team and they played hard. But this Arkansas team is something special. If they keep hustling and keep playing hard nose defense, the sky is the limit. Muss is the best basketball coach out there. And with number 5 recruiting class next year it only gonna get better. REMASTERED (September 2018) Well, this is an interesting. This is an all new transfer from a newly restored 4k master. This is wildly different from the previous transfer (that was sadly in 1080i at 25 fps, PAL speed. The new 1080p has more information in the frame on all sides. Detail levels are better, most notably in close-ups. Certain scenes are much, much darker, having some details vanish in darkness. The contrast levels are decent, but this added darkness might be a bit much for some. Colors are also very different with greens now giving ways to browns, and yellows to whites (see the cap of Arkie Whiteley smiling in front of the fence and notice the colors in the background completely change. The most obvious change in the color palette has to be in the reds, with much warmer skin tones. This is the same 5. 1 audio track that was on the previous Blu-ray but it does not have the 4% speed-up of the original release. This is also a Region FREE Blu-ray playable worldwide. Umbrella have ported over the extras from the previous Blu-ray, and included a whole slew of new ones. Let us start with the new stuff. First up is an audio commentary by director Mulcahy moderated by horror writer/producer Shayne Armstrong. Next up is the whopping 1-hour and 25-minute collection of excerpts from Mark Hartley's excellent Ozploitation doc. NOT QUITE HOLLYWOOD. Also a cool addition is RAZORBACK: THE VHS CUT which is the original uncut 4:3 Australian home video version. Also new here is the 25-minute " A Certain Piggish Nature. which is a conversation with film historians Lee Gambin, Alexandra Heller-Nicholas, Sally Christie and Emma Westwood. The four have a great rapport, and this is a welcome addition to this set. There is also a theatrical trailer, a vhs trailer, image galleries, and all of the other extras that were on the previous Blu-ray (Jaws on Trotters, grisly deleted scenes, etc. This is a big difference from Umbrella's previous 1080i 25fps Blu-ray. Though the image looks much better in motion, some might find the new image too dark, or too warm (skin tones. I actually prefer this new image, what with the giant leap in detail. The new hours of extras are also just wonderful to have included here. Highly recommended! Colin Zavitz * The Umbrella Blu-ray is Region FREE. Razorback has been released on Blu-ray in Spain as well but I suspect that European BD is a bootleg.  Umbrella's transfer is 1080i / 25 fps on a dual-layered disc with a high bitrate. It looks inconsistent with plenty of desert vistas, close-ups, and shaky looks at the titular giant pig. Razorback is in the 2. 35:1 aspect ratio and it can look soft but still film-like and some of the close-ups show pleasing detail. But it is far from the heights of the format and needs a new transfer (which is coming. The film has some cool lighting techniques and while the contrast is not crisp the film's style makes up for it. The HD is not premium but is superior to  SD. The Umbrella Blu-ray has an intense DTS-HD Master 5. 1 surround audio track (24-bit) in the original English. There many very aggressive 'Razorback' grunts and squeals that come through with powerful depth. There is also some head-turning separation. There is a score by Iva Davies ( Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World) adding to the creature-feature thrills and suspense. There are no subtitles offered on Umbrella's Region FREE disc. Umbrella include Mark Hartley's 2005 documentary Jaws on Trotters: The Making of 'Razorback. It runs 1-hour 10-minutes and has interviews with director Russell Mulcahy, Producer Hal McElroy, Razorback Creator Bob McCarron, composer Iva Davies plus cast members Judy Morris and Chris Haywood. It's very good. There is also an audio interview with actor Gregory Harrison running almost 1/2 hour. There is a short deleted scene, some Aussie Trailers and a stills and poster gallery. Very cool Ozploitation and creature-feature - over-the-top niche classic. It's way out-of-print but coming to a new Umbrella release in 2018. Fans of the genre(s) gotta have this on their shelf. The installation of the new playing surface takes Razorback Stadium to natural grass for the first time since 2009 and to its original playing surface beginning in 1938. “As we prepare for the start of the 2019 football season, the Home of the Razorbacks will soon see the culmination of a transformation of Frank Broyles Field, ” Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Hunter Yurachek said. “I know that Coach Chad Morris and our football team will enjoy competing on our new natural grass surface. We are grateful to our friends at J. Hunt for their assistance in transporting our new field to campus. We couldnt have completed this process without their expertise. ” “We are excited to work with the University of Arkansas on a project that will change the surface of football at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium, ” said John Roberts, president and CEO of J. Hunt. “We look forward to a successful delivery and a great Razorback football season. ” The Tahoma 31 derives its name from the Native American word, Tahoma, which means frozen water. In test after test, Tahoma 31 shows its exceptional winter hardiness, tested up to 75% more cold tolerant than other bermuda grass varieties. With the additional characteristics of both improved wear tolerance and drought resistance, Tahoma 31 is ideal for sports turf, golf courses and high-quality lawns in the Mid-Atlantic & Transition Zone. The approximately 1800-pound rolls of Matrix turf rolls feature an interwoven mesh support layer that provides strength and stability to the sod without compromise to drainage. The Razorbacks are set to kick off the 2019 season on the new natural grass surface on August 31 at 3 p. m. against Portland State on SEC Network.

LSU defense can play like this all they want because their offense is top tier and can score at anytime and their D makes plays when it counts. Clyde (The Nightmare) Helaire.
